Located in the very heart of Toulouse, the Musée des Augustins houses a collection of paintings and sculptures dating from the Middle Ages up until the early 20th century. The museum buildings surround the medieval cloister of the former Monastery of the Augustines. The museum was founded in 1793, one of the very first museums in France, it opened shortly after the Louvre. Today, over seven hundred works are exhibited here.
The application “Musée des Augustins” presents the masterpieces of the Museum and gives you access to some temporary exhibitions. Each work is described with the audio and written commentary (english, french and spanish) and is reproduced full screen, with zooming possibility too see the details of the masterpieces.
